Woman lets her daughter die...

Okay today on the news there was this lady who had a daughter who had diabetes(spell error)any way she let her daughter die because she said god will heal her so does that mean god isnt real because he didnt help her daughter???and what do you think of that???

Answer #1

…it depends what you choose to believe. I personally don’t believe but that’s me :)

Answer #2

In no way does this mean God does NOT exist. it means that this lady used her religous beliefs as an excuse for being a bad, negligent mother. She clearly didnt realize that maybe God’s way of helping her daughter was through the medical attention and supplies.

Answer #3

“There was a purpose and it happened for a reason, she is not in pain anymore, isnt that enough?”

No, it isn’t enough. What kind of mother would not allow her daughter to receive medical treatment? The kind that should be in a psych ward.

Answer #4

its kind of like that story where there is some flood or something and there are these people waiting for God to save them and a whole variety ways to get to safety are offered but the people say no, they are waiting for God and eventually they die and they ask God why he didnt save them, to which he replies he tried but they refused every time.

Answer #5

No, God is in heaven and was healing her from her pain. That means god is real, he does things sometimes that cant be explained, maybe he needed her in heaven. There was a purpose and it happened for a reason, she is not in pain anymore, isnt that enough?

Answer #6

God will give you eternal life that does not mean that you will live forever

I always kind of understood “eternal life”, in the sense of including a hereafter…Death not being a punishment, but a leg in the journey…

Even religious freedom has to have limits when the safty of a child is concerned…a voice of reason…As with everything, extremes suck…Not using the tools on hand to ensure the life of said child would seem to be ignorant at best, and downright sinful, if one is a religious person.

Answer #7

Maybe God is real but doesn’t get involved with things of the physical world!

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

Answer #8

No it does not mean that God is not real. Death is the punishment for sin. Everybody sins and everybody has their different times to go. If somebody says that God will give you eternal life that does not mean that you will live forever. People dye at all different times and just because your mom says you are not going to dye and God will keep you on earth is 100% not true because everybody dies. So yes God is real but it’s not like our wish is him command.

Answer #9

I think that this woman is ridiculous! I heard about this.. I think its the story about the lady that fled the states because she had a court order to put her daughter on treatment but she believed in natural rememdies only?

if so… I feel that God gives us people with the smarts to become doctors and surgeons and scientist. So they can help us live longer. So they can perform his miracles. I do believe God is capable of anything but being redundant and naive is a different story.

Answer #10

**…it depends what you* choose to believe.

No it doesn’t. A child really is dead because her mother failed to get her proper medical attention due to her religious beliefs.

Some beliefs are actually dangerous and result in death.

Answer #11

to advicegal thats a different story the one your talkin bout is a bout a boy that had cancer and the mom doesnt want him to get treatment so the left for mexico

Answer #12

No it doesn’t. A child really is dead because her mother failed to get her proper medical attention due to her religious beliefs.

Ah, sorry didn’t mean it that way, that was my response to “does that mean god isnt real”.
