To tseirpeht - all I meant was to indicate it seemed a bit odd for someone to panic at the thought of Russians doing to the USA exactly what the USA and NATO have been doing to Russia/the USSR for decades now.

And the question wasn’t about Russian troops on US soil… unless you feel that Canada and for that matter Mexico and the rest of the Western Hemisphere are really US territory?.

If the alternative is war with Russia, then probably yes, otherwise, no. Obama is on record as recognizing the threat Putin era Russian politics pose to the US.

Obama is on threat as recognizeing it yes, but as to what he would do in that situation he is on record as having no clue. Do you realize how dumb it is to allow Russian troops on American soil for the sake of peace?
