I need some advice please.
I went to Greece in July 2009.
I fell asleep in the sun for four hours, I did put sun cream on but not a lot of it.
I came home and the leg formed a scab and was bright red, I did pick some of the scab off and now eight months on I still have the scab mark from where I picked the scab off and the skin still hasn't grown in place of where the scab was. I am asking will new skin still come back after I picked it?
I do use Bio-oil everyday on the leg have done for eight months now, it has made a big difference.
basically your skin is made up of melanin. Which is like a natural sun factor. When there's sun damage the melanin in your skin can be damaged due to pigmentation.. Your best off going to a doctor and seeing if you can get treatments done
well I slept in the sun for four hours so that's a long time it's not that bad the mark but I just wish the skin would come back to match the other leg lol. I do also have a small amount of Pigmentation a patch from it too
Probably not if your skin was damaged that badly. that sounds like 3rd degree burn to me. I suggest that you in any case get it checked out by a doctor, sunburn like that should be looked at.
It depends on how severe the sunburn was; you should go to a dermatologist if you have questions about your skin, I'm sure they would be very helpful.
the leg was tingling today does that mean new skin is coming up? It's the top layer of skin that isn't there
