Skin Cancer concarns

I got a really bad sun burn a on my lower back a few years ago and within the last I would say 18-24 months I realised a brown haze on my lower back where I had the sunburn that was not there before. What are the chances it is skin cancer? See I also want to know if I should take imediate action or wait, because if I do anyhting now and it turns out to be skin cancer I could lose my government job, but what would be the consequences of waitng three and a hlf years to find out?

I can not believe you would even imagine jepardising (sorry to be blunt but it’s true) your life for your job. Yeh sure we all need jobs and we are passionate about it but choosing your job over cancer? What! Sorry but you need to weight up your pririties fast.

You need to get checked over. Chances are it isn’t even cancer. It usually takes a lot of sun damage to get cancer. it’s quite unusual, although not impossible, to get it from one exposure. Get checked as soon as possible. Cancer can kill.

Answer #2

I had the same thing happen to me…Its not cancer, just a heavy sunburn but depending on how old you are, it could be different. So I agree, you need to go get checked over.

And the consequences of waiting too long could be the end. Hope this helps!
