Ok so my laptop was working this morning but when I came home it wouldn't connect to th Internet and it still won't. I ran a diagnosis and it said "the network adapter Dell wireless mini LAN card and the Marvell Yukon Ethernet controller are experiencing driver or hardware related issues ( they were in seperate selection boxes) it won't connect to the Internet and I don't know what to do. Btw it's a windows vistA if it helps pls help thanks
hmm,well how do you access to the internet everytime? by using the wireless network card or the Ethernet LAN port (cable)? I think it has to be something conflict between your operating system Visa and driver. If you can't access to the internet, you can use other computer to download the driver from dell support website and then reinstall your wireless driver again. First, uninstall the driver in the device manager and then restart the laptop. After that the Window will detect the driver again. So you can install the driver back again. I see a lot of problem with the wireless network card or ethernet LAN but the way to solve it differently sometime it works some it doesn't.
If the problem isn't solve, maybe you might need to reinstall the window vista. I know it is hard to explain in detail but hope everything will be okay for you.
Well, Window Vista always have a problem with driver because I fixed some of my friend laptop, sony, dell, gateway. They all used to have problem with driver issue. Sometime, you might need to restart the laptop but try to go to Window update to fix this problem. If they have a new driver file to update or go to Device manager and right click to update date on the wireless network card to recieve a new update driver. If it still doesn't work please go to Dell support website to download the latest driver for your network card. Hope this might help you.
We use the built in wifi thing in the laptop but when we went on device manager it had a list of drivers that all said were either corrupted or missing. Could it be something to do with system32? I tried to mod my iPod the other day before all this happend but it didn't work so I tried to uninstall libusb which sed system 32 in it somewhere. I accidently clicked cancel though. Could it be anything to do with that? And thanks well try and unistall the drivers and that.
Seth86 thanks for your advice but I've already tried updateing it but it said I need Internet connection which ibthink is what the driver is there for (it says Ethernet si I'm guessing it's needed to accesss the Internet)
Turn it all the way off (as opposed to just restarting it). Leave it off for 3 minutes...and see if that helps.
