Why haven't I started yet...

I read somewhere that most people start their periods between the ages of ten and fourteen. I am fourteen and I haven’t started yet. I know that everyone keeps saying that they are not fun and I should be happy to have not started yet, but I’m not. I also don’t want to take those hormone pills because I don’t want to mess up my body, but are there any other ways to start earlier as I am now in the last three people in my class of thirty to start.

Also just wondering, how long are you supposed to have discharge for, because I have had it for nearly three years now.

Please help me.

the most common ages is between 9-14. but some start earlier than nine…and a lot of people start much later than 14 too:) dont worry about it. im sure you will get it soon. I got mine not long after I turned 11…but my best friends all got theres way later than me…like age 14…one of my friends is 15 and still dosnt have hers. so dont worry about it and good luck…its not fun:-p
