I was just wondering why the media always feels sorry for overweight females rather then overweight males. Here's some examples,
1) You see a talk show with a overweight women automatically everyone feels sorry for her where as a man no one does'nt.
2) Someone calls an overweight women fat everyone feels sorry for her where as a man if his called a name no one says anything.
3) You see a couple walking down the street the womens over weight and the mans not automatically it's abuse, Where as if it where the other way around people automatically assume the guy's lazy.
well society also depicts the perfect guy as strong skinny and not emotional. society isnt the best thing to go off of but people go off it all the time. but if your depressed just think theres people who have it worse then you. I say just run alittle and also go to the gym for awhile
But I'm a guy and there are times I'm depressed with the way I look, No one ever says oh I feel sorry for him? I just think it's sexist to fell sorry for a women rather man who has weight problems.
I agree with rome89. Women are more...sensitive, especially about looks, mostly due to either low self esteem or just how much pressure is on us, what with all the models and diets and crap.
because men arent as emotional about there weight as women are a lot of us who are fat are ok and don't care what anyone says. but society has depicted the perfect woman as skinny
I agree I'm considard overweight well not huge but still overweight. I just think if a man was to go on tv and cry everyone would be like oh he's only doing that for attention?
