Why does my family blame everything bad on my boyfriend?

I have been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years. My family hates everything about him and never gave him a chance. A fem days ago they came and forced me to leave him house… after I avoided them for an hour I realized that when they said they weren’t leaving until I left with them, they meant it? The had heard rumors that my boyfriend an I were using drugs. When I decided to leave with them they informed me that it was the last time I would see my boyfriend. Later that night, they took me to a detox doctor where we all waited for over hours. I have completed all my classes. The doctor said that it wasn’t even necessary for me to be there, but my family wouldn’t believe me. They took my car and cell phone off me and changed my number. They are now keeping me at my sister’s house which is over an hour away from everyone and my mother’s house. I’m considering leaving a note for my mom tonight and letting her know that I’m 20 and she has to be able to trust me… What should I do?

Your 20! You shouldn’t put up with this, your a grown woman to them you may still be their little girl but your old enough now to lead your own life. Hopefully those rumors that your boyfriend uses drugs aren’t true, but that may be the reason for the sudden way they acted in not letting you see him and changing your number etc. You could write her a letter, that’s what I do when I want to let my feelings out because usually when I try talking to the person about the problem it can end in having an argument.

report your car stolen and yourself kidnapped and held against your will !!! they cant do any of that stuff! its illegal.

First of all your 20. You are legally considered an adult. You dont have to listen to your parents anymore.
