Why do people stereotype?

people stereotype because they take the majority of a certain group of people and imediatly relate you to that social group, they can do this subconciously

I think people steriotype because they are unhappy with who they are. they think that they will become bigger and better if they bring other people down with comments, it doesnt make them any bigger or better, it just makes them a bully

I think you are right about stereotypes, but don’t listen to anyone that want to put you down and keep your mind on the things that are important for your future. You will be glad you did. It sounds to me that you are very smart so just remind yourself of that fact every once in a while. Treat yourself you have earned it.

If you can anser that il be extatiek can take it espesiale teachers .But you are a super beautiful female and dont have any thing to be ashamed about there just jealous. BUT IT REALY SUCKS IF SOMEONE COMES DOWN ON YOU.IN WAYS LIKE TELLING YOU YOU ARE A BLOND OF DUMB OR WATEVA. AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY DO TO SOME OF US EMOTIONALLY.If its a boy its easy to fix but I dont hit girls/females and cant hit a teacher. But the best way is to ignore and tell your perants or principal about that teacher.And then every one says you are a pimp or in afrikaans a:klikie bek. So its hard

As humans, we do categorise things- only problem is, even though we’re supposedly intelligent beings, we’re not always terribly insightful. To a certain degree, everyone stereotypes. In some instances, it can be based on generalising what we personally see around us. For example, I notice that many adults around the 50-55 age group look at people in my generation as rude and insolent creatures, obsessed with material belongings. They may see an exception to the rule, once in a while, but that seems to be the general opinion.

Unfortunately, not every one can be open minded…
