Why do my eyelids burn and become sensitive after I wash makeupoff?

So, sometimes I use soap to wash my makeup off while im in the shower. after I get out, my eyelids burn reallly bad and are almost to sensitive to touch and are kinda sticky.

what does this mean? and why does it do this?

thanks, :).

you shouldn’t use soap! it dries out already sensitive skin. you should get face wash or even makeup remover. these will work better and you won’t have to scrub so hard.

I know exactly what your talking about! The skin around the eyes is extremely sensative, I’d switch what your using to something less harsh. I personally use baby shampoo to wash off my eye make up cause it doesn’t burn your eyes and it’s okay for sensative skin :)

if it is just when you are taking off your make up then you are most likely getting it in your eyes. if so I would suggest getting those little wet pads that wipe off the makeup If they burn at other times then you may be allergic to the makeup you are using.

I use to use soap too and it hurt my eye. Now I use Vaseline to take off eye make up off. It works super awesome and it’s dirt cheap!
