Why do I sleep so much?

why do I sleep so much all the time. sometimes I go to sleep at 5:00am and I sleep to 3:00 into the afternoon sometimes 4:00 in the afternoon. but when I get that much sleep im still tired I just needs some answers please

I have the exact same problem but it is related to depression. I have withdrawn from everyone so much that I stay up late at night to be alone. I sleep all day because I have nothing better to do and I don’t want to deal with life. I understand what you are going through. I have been doing it for years

Ok here you go. Your sleeping from 5 to 3om think about this the human body wants about 8 to 10 hours do the math go to bed earlyer not later you feel sleepy cause once you get the amount of hours your wasting engerys to sleep insted of eating and getting out side. Trust me does the same thing to me

If you are 16 why are you keeping such hours? If you only do it on the weekends, then you are throwing your sleep cycle off. If you aren’t in school 10-11 hours of sleep is a bit much. Maybe boredom???

If you know you are depressed, then I would get help. Do you have an adult you can confide in?

And I know you are young, but talking to a doctor about anti-depressants is important. People who are depressed at one time in their lives have a 75% chance of getting depressed again, and then a 90% chance of getting depressed a third time. You need to get this under control before things get any worse. Trust me, you dont want to be at high risk for depression before you turn 25.

your body has its own biological clock which you cant conrole. it is controled by the sun. during the day the body produce energy and at sunset the energy flow starts to decreas. so does blod presure and body heat. At night as our body starts to relax we sleep good and enjoy it. but sleeping in the day time is a waste of time; you will never get enough. stop acting like a bat and be a human. start by taking naps after sunset soon you will catch on.

9-10 hours of sleep isn’t abnormal, but bedtime @ 5am IS abnormal…

If your always feeling tired and you get a lot of sleep you could be anemic Its where you don’t have enough iron in your body and you tend to always be tired and sleep a lot. You also can get dizzy when you stand up and sometimes either kiss your periods or only have light ones. My suggestion is go get a blood test from your doctor and get some iron supplements
