why cant I get over my ex-girlfriend that I dated 2 years ago?

I dated this girl named and we had a good relation then on her b-day oct 17 of 2007 her mother found out and broke us apart we were back and forth. However on december of that same year I went back to colombia and ever since then we never went back out. Now shes dating a girl her mom found out again but she still with her regardless and me..well I’ve been in a relationship with my girl for 2 years and and like 2 months. and I still cant get over . WHY CANT I GET OVER HER? it hurts a lot to see her with someone else. I also wonder if she feels the same but im to scare to go up to her and ask her!

You really think your going to forget someone that you tried so hard to get close too? Not likely, its a never ending struggle and you put to much effort to just suddenly drop it all down the drain? You two speculated with the idea of being together but you didn’t work hard enough to maintain it. People aren’t equal and I’m pretty sure you know that, if you were looking for a replacement for her then its not going to work out so well. Did conformity somehow strike you? You didn’t let other people influence your choice did you? I really think you gave up on something that could’ve been and now your faced with a guilty conscious about it. All I can tell you is decide with what you want to do, is it worth dropping a 2 year relationship for something that happened so long ago? Decide wisely.
