Why are my dogs overly friendly?

Well the only dog I ever had that seems to ever bark at strangers and actually WATCH the house for me is a lost dog I found when she was around 2 years old.

It seems like every dog that I’ve had ever since they were a puppy grew up to be overly friendly and greets everybody. Strangers & Friends. =\

Does anyone know why my dogs are like this and what am I doing wrong???

Well, I have a dog too. She is overfriedly, and loves to play. Ya, maybe you are spoiling it too much. Same with mine. But be happy your dog wont bite your butt off!

I agree, I’d rather have a friendly dog than a vesious one :P but maybe, it’s cause you spoil it so much that it’s so friendly and loving =)

Answer #3

Be grateful…a friendly dog is way less a pain in the butt, than one you have to watch constantly to make sure it doesn’t guard everything too well.

Different breeds have different temperments…even if they are mutts…the differernt breeds in their genes, make a difference in temperment, also.

I think it’s that spoiling thing…but I can’t help but treat my dog with love, care, & even respect because it’s boring enough being a dog let alone if you get no positive attention & still have to sit around all day. (yawns)
