Who to tell? How much to tell?

I am wiccan and I havnt really told a lot of people about it for years, my immediate family knows and are extremely supportive (my mom even helps me get materials etc for rituaals and celebrations and my dad does too) but its outside the family that gets difficult to distinguish who to tell, and how much I should talk about it. I like to say I’ve told the people that matter, my boyfriend, my best friends, and theyr great about it. Now, to the point: my boyfriend is not only supportive, hes curious, and wants to know all about it, because he knows its important to me, the problem is, im sooo used to not talk ing about it, but when I do talk to him about it, he gets so happy that I can trust him, so I want to continue talking to him, but how do I break through the barrier I’ve set up for myself?

I wanna say thanks to those who were very helpful, I talked to him and it was really fun, now he wont shut up about it HAHA. oops he was reading over my shoulder…heehee he knows he loves me haha mwhahaha! lol anyway, thank you guys :)

Hey stephanie, I’ld like to invite you to tell someone who actually gives a rats @$$.

Just answer his questions is all you have to do. It may se, weird at first. Though I found that the more you help people, the more you help yourself in return. It will give you a drive to keep learning. Just have him ask questions & answer them the best you can is all you really have to do. best of luck 1_~

stephanieg, could you maybe RE-READ the question, she didn’t ask to be converted, she asked how to grow in her OWN beliefs and how to stop being shy about it. Jeez sometimes you Christians really irritate the hell out of me.

Why don’t you invite your boyfriend the next time you have a private (prayer/ritual etc? I’m not that familiar with the Wiccan religion) and then he can see how much it means to you. Also answer all his questions and tell him to keep asking them.
