I sometimes just brush my teeth with baking soda but it doesn't seem like it's doing anything. Now on the internet it says you can also use baking soda and vinegar? Is this more effective than just using baking soda?
Put baking soda on your toothbrush with your regular toothpaste, but don't mix it with vinegar. My mom taught me the baking soda, as her father used it when she was younger. It is not only whitening, but very good for your teeth in other ways. Vinegar will also whiten your teeth, but I suggest doing it separately. My favorite method of teeth whitening however, is swishing with hydrogen peroxide after brushing. Peroxide is a very common household chemical that usually comes in a brown bottle with a white cap. You probably have it in your medicine cabinet or some sort of supply closet in your home. It is totally safe to put in your mouth, as long as you try to swallow as little as possible. It tastes a bit gross, but much better than baking soda or vinegar, and the results are noticeable almost immediately, or after just a couple of uses. I put a couple of capfuls of peroxide in a plastic cup and pour in just a splash or two of tap water and swish until the concoction bubbles in my mouth, then just spit and rinse!
Sounds nasty, but I don't know. Actually NO! Now that I remember it makes a horrible combination. The reaction causes an end product of carbon dioxide. This combination is not good. You can mix them to see (it's not dangerous), but don't actually use it. As for the actual ingredients separate? I don't know. I never actually heard of using vinegar in any form to clean or whiten your teeth.
I've never heard of using vinegar ether. But vinegar is highly acidic so I guess if you brushed your teeth with a monster/ high energy drink you'd get the same thing...Eating away your enamel on your teeth.
Ive heard bakeing soda, vinger is more for cleaning. You can also try hydragen peroxide as a mouth wash for it. It even has instructions on the back for it.
It's baking soda and peroxide not vinager peroxide is a natural bleaching agent vinagar is an acid and should not be brushed with.
P.S., a much better use for white vinegar is to make your aging jewels brighter!
I wouldn't recommend it as a substitute for toothpaste
not a substitute, just a homemade whitner
Don't use vinegar, just use baking soda(:
