How do you whiten teeth

I have heard that baking soda can whiten your teeth? Is it true? And if it does work do you know how long it takes to whiten your teeth and also can you put the baking soda on top of your toothpaste?

yeah but I dont wanna spend the money on that when I already have baking soda

When used orally, Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda) acts as an abrasive. There’s no bleaching or whitening involved. It just slowly scrubs the stains of your teeth.

The PROBLEM with using it this way, is that its also abrasive on your GUMS as well, and it will surely scrub your gums RAW in the process (potentially to the point of bleeding). It will also make your breath smell TERRIBLE; so be prepared to dislike it.

I use toothpaste with baking soda in it and I also use strait up baking soda. It doesn’t hurt my gums or make my breath smell. But everyone is differant.

…OR you can buy toothpaste that HAS baking soda already in it…
