Which is the right religion

How do we know which religion is right? Everyone thinks their religion is the right one!!!

Answer #1

My opinion, any religion is right that recognizes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the truth.

Answer #2

Which ever religion that doesn’t contradicts anything the bible says…as in a religion who follows everything in the bible…and lots a people say that witnesses are strict…yes we are but if every other religion followed the bible and did everything it said then their religion is just as strict…

Answer #3

why even ask this question? because you know what two main answers will be, Accept Jesus as savior(which I believe), or there is no God, you rule your own life. only you decide which one of those two, here’s the way I look at it… believe in God and Jesus, go to a place with no sickness, or pain, and live forever, or take a dirt nap for all eternity, which atheists believe(notice, it’s a belief, so you don’t know which one is right), and the Christian faith is so real to me, I don’t how I’d survive w/o it. I mean, I probably would’ve gotten into drugs and sex and all kinds of bad things if it wasn’t for that. but then people say, “well, there are Christians that do those things”, and I believe there are, but you know what, quitting an addiction is hard for anybody, not just non Christians. Christians probably have it worse because, when they do those things it hurts them, because they know they’ve hurt God. and they do what they don’t want to do, and don’t do what they are supposed to do, (from the Bible). so you choose.

Answer #4

What ever religion resonates to your soul, Love God, Do the best while you are here, than shut up an go home, where we have been many times before .

Answer #5

There is only One God, One Heaven, One Hell, One bible. Seek him with all your heart, and you will find him. Do not be deceived. And do not settle for less than the very best.

God bless…

Answer #6

How can evidence not prove in something?

I didn’t say in this universe did I? Who isn’t to say you don’t travel outside it? & why does it really matter anyways? I said might, I didn’t say it is, I don’ believe in it, but whose to say that’s not what happnes? & hey, it might even be in this universe too.

Answer #7

I asked the same question in church sunday and my youth director said you have to have faith that you have the right religion. As long as you believe that god is your lord and savior and he died on the cross to save you from your sins you should be fine.

Answer #8

as for there being no proof of ghost the you really are oblivious

You’re taking the same stance that ALL people take to defend their beliefs. What may seem obvious to you, can appear as total bullshit to another.

As with religion, there is EVIDENCE that supports the idea that ghosts exist, but it doesn’t PROVE they exist.

Answer #9

arachnid I admit It’s been a long day maybe I shouldn’t of been

1, it’s an expression 2 maybe there’s different universes in which they’re all right this is only one universe out of a vase ocean of them, whose to say it’s not possible?

as for there being no proof of ghost the you really are oblivious

Answer #10

“believe in God and Jesus, go to a place with no sickness, or pain, and live forever, or take a dirt nap for all eternity, which atheists believe”

No, atheism is a lack of belief. Atheism doesn’t directly relate to life after death, though lack of belief in a god implies lack of belief in an afterlife.

Answer #11

…it isn’t possible for all religions to be right.

…but it is possible for all of them to be wrong.

Knowing that, doesn’t it make sense to reject all of them unless one can show itself to be true using the same standards of evidence and argument you employ in the rest of your life?

Answer #12

vultureofculture is right if people go to church for an hour every sunday or something imagine what you could do in that hour(sometimes more than an hour) anyways do whatever you want

Answer #13

I don’t think there is a “right” religion. Have a personal relationship with God and the rest isn’t important. Find a church that makes you want to grow and learn. I was raised Catholic, went to Catholic schools for 12 years. I’m now “Christian”.
I changed when I was 35!
God Bless!

Answer #14

atheism!

live your life your way! with no puppet strings controlling you! you cant go wrong there xD

Answer #15

I think all religions are right. I saw them like languages, they’re different ‘because of culture, evolution & revolution, territory and race. Every person thinks different, so God shows himself in a way everyone of us would understand him and would be aware He exist. Know what I mean? For me each religion is a face of the same God.

Answer #16

the religion that has undeniable proof is the right one and the truth. you should look into your religion and see if it makes sense and if its really real…you dont have to have blind faith to beleive in g-d there is proof out there you just have to know where to look

Answer #17

I don’t know.

In my opinion (one for instance) if a religion accepts Jesus as their Savior, recognizes the Trinity, and believes that the cross is the only way to salvation then it is correct and all the rest is dogma. I’m sure if you ask another person their answer will be different as you have probably seen.

I guess the only way to be certain is after death, unless you feel you have a personal experience with one that leads you to believe one way or another.

I think it is mostly a matter of personal choice as so many before have said.

Answer #18

There is not one religon that is 100% correct. Whatever works for you, whatever you feel most comfortable with. I do not believe that you need to soley believe in Jesus Christ, because history has shown that there have been many “sons-of-God”. Your best bet is to research different faiths, and find one that you can assimilate with. Any religon that tells you that anothers religon is wrong…is wrong. As long as the main jist of their spiritual teachings, are positive. Not making you drink the kool-aid, or have sexual relations with underage people.

Answer #19

as in a religion who follows everything in the bible…and lots a people say that witnesses are strict…

But you don’t follow EVERYTHING in the Bible.

Answer #20

thex13thxchild: All of which is irrelevant, because many religions make mutually_contradictory claims. They can’t both be right. Trying to argue about multiple universes and black holes and whatnot doesn’t change the simple fact that it’s impossible for two contradictory religions to be right.

Answer #21

arachnid It all depends, no one knows for sure what happens when we die & yes, there might be ways to escape the universe, some scientist think it’s through black holes though space is endless & holds endless amounts of universes but hey, who says it can’t be in this universe? Scientiest have yet to even get to even get outside our galaxy you just never know & I didn’t specify saying they are would be completley right there are indeed some aspects that will be wrong & like I said, big whoop it’s not like I believe they are all right, but who are we to say they’re not? I was just using a figure of speech, what’s the point of arguing over something as senseless as that

Answer #22

I asked the same question in church sunday and my youth director said you have to have faith that you have the right religion. As long as you believe that god is your lord and savior and he died on the cross to save you from your sins you should be fine.

So… in your own vague way, you’re saying ANY religion is right, as long as you BELIEVE its right… and… as long as its Christianity.

sigh

Well, that was… almost helpful… wrong turn at the end, though.

Answer #23

thex13thxchild: The idea of there being multiple universes is irrelevant: They can’t all be right in our universe, which is the only one that really matters to those living in it.

“as for there being no proof of ghost the you really are oblivious “

As soon as I see reliable, reproducible evidence of ghosts, I, along with thousands of other skeptics, will believe it. As it stands, despite the supposed prevalence of them, there’s not a single testable fact or reproducible experiment that would show their existence.

Answer #24

thex13thxchild: Yes, I should have said “usually implies lack of belief in an afterlife”. I’d appreciate it if you stop telling anyone you disagree with to “do some research”.

All religions can’t be right, because many of them contradict each other.

“Ghost prove that there are a life after death, but for how long, & what happens then? “

Ghosts don’t prove anything, since there’s no proof they exist.

Answer #25

“Have a personal relationship with God…” How can we tell there is a god?

“lack of belief in a god implies lack of belief in an afterlife”

lmao, I beg to differ I do not worship any deity & I believe in an after life! Do some research

Now getting back on topic, you can’t tell. One may be right, a few may be right, they all may be right, or they all could be wrong! Ghost prove that there are a life after death, but for how long, & what happens then? You just never know.

& good info baldwolf

Answer #26

I agree with Toadaly - given that all religions have equal (lack of) evidence for them, why believe any of them?

The “find the one that’s right for you” answers irritate me, too. This is not a feel-good test with “no wrong answers”. Either one of them is right or (more likely) none of them are. Surely you should choose what to believe based on what has the most probability of being right, not the one that you agree with most?

Answer #27

if you believe in God and his son Jesus Christ and that he died for you and believe in his blodd can wash away all sin, then your good to go, it doesn matter if your baptist, catholic, jewish, etc., if you believe in what I said, then your on the right path, anythin other than that, then well its just wrong…what you are or so call religion has nothin to do wit it, religion doesn make your heart right with God, if ya believe in him, his sone, and the holy spirit, believe he died and rose again, and believe in his precious blood, then your right, domination has NOTHIN to do wit bein right

Answer #28

the religion that has undeniable proof is the right one and the truth.

= NONE

you dont have to have blind faith to beleive in g-d there is proof out there you just have to know where to look

Uhhh… no. There is no proof, there is only evidence to support your beliefs. Just as there is evidence that opposes it.

Answer #29

the “right” religion will come to you through careful study, of the religions that are out there- and who you are as a person. but definately make a choice based on what appears to be right to you. my opinion is that if it is right, you will find your way there, without any promoting or “window dressing” or someone else telling you what the “truth” is. be a great human being everyday (not perfect) and the “right” path will present itself.

Answer #30

I’m christian and I love it, I’m confident in my faith, its helped me through a lot of things. The way that we worship at my church is through MODERN music, you can sing, play guitar, bass, drums, sing along, dance, clap, or just watch. you can openly talk about your problems and recieve prayer and advice. its quite great actually and it feels flexible, not strict as sh!t

Answer #31

ahem

No religion is RIGHT, per se…

They all have strengths and weaknesses. They all have well thought ideals, as well as flaws and inconsistencies. They all have GOOD followers, as well as the deluded fanatics who can be described in no finer words than ‘absolutely-batshit-crazy.’

But that doesn’t mean one or more religions can’t be right FOR YOU. It just depends on the individual.

People will ALWAYS argue that THEIR religion is the only right religion. But in the end, nobody can prove it, and no religion demands or promotes attempts to prove it. So I’m not really sure WHY they try so hard, when they never get anywhere with it anyway…

Besides, the universal rule of all religions, is for one to BELIEVE, not to PROVE.

Answer #32

“How can evidence not prove in something?”

Evidence supports something. Alone, a single piece of evidence doesn’t ‘prove’ anything (not to mention, Science isn’t in the business of incontrovertible proofs). The problem is, there is no reliable evidence of ghosts.

“I didn’t say in this universe did I?”

If we’re discussing the question of “which (if any) God is the real one”, what matters is “which (if any) God is the real one in our universe”. Since many religions contradict each other (and themselves), clearly they can’t all be right (though they can all be wrong).

“Who isn’t to say you don’t travel outside it?”

Now you’re not making any sense. It’s called the “universe” because it encompasses everything we can interact with. Anywhere you can travel is, by definition, part of the universe.

Answer #33

Let us listen to music and dance and then there will be no need for religion.

Answer #34

Whatever floats your boat. As long as your beliefs don’t pound on anyone elses, you should be fine. Coexist

Answer #35

I am christian, but I believe no religion is the right one. its up to the individual, and whats right for them

Answer #36

Everyone believes their personal religion is the “right” religion…

Answer #37

it’s a personal preference. no one would ever agree on the “best” one. that’s for you to decide yourself. :)

Answer #38

anything is possible & like a said, figure of speech so what’s the point of arguing? lol I’m through
