When is it ok to TTC after D&C?

So, I had a D&C on April 20. About 3 weeks ago. I just got done bleeding from the procedure about 3 days ago. I was 13 weeks along when I found out I miscarried. The fetus stopped growing at 8 weeks. So my first question is: When can I begin TTC again? My second question: Does anyone know if drugs could have played a role in my m/c? My boyfriend was on a few different drugs when I conceived. I wasn’t on any though. Please reply to my questions. Thank you =]

thank you. and I left him, I am single now. I would rather have a good father for my baby than to stay with him =]

Firstly, sorry for your loss. In answer to your first question, I would say whenever you feel ready. Some people prefer to wait until after a period to give the body a chance to settle into a normal cycle etc.

I’m not a dr so I dont know the answer to your second question, but I would say that the healthier the sperm the better the chance of conception! Also, if you are trying for a baby with someone, why would you chose someone who takes drugs???

Get your boyfriend to quit the drugs, then try for a baby. Who wants a druggie for a daddy? Think about your baby!
