kso. I got almost everything done in my math assignment, but this question is still getting the best of me. it says: Find the value of x in this equation: x:6 = 12:9
yes its ratios. I hate them. lol ..I have no idea how to solve this one. please help!!
I think it is 8. 12:9 could be looked at as 4/3( four thirds, a fration) because there are 4 threes in 12 and 3 threes in 9. So. x = 8 because you need to look at x:6 as being 4/3. if 6 is 3/3 you need one more third to make it 4/3, so 1/3 of 6 is 2, so 4/3 is 8. I hope this helps.
