Who here is really really good at algebra? I need help :/ ?

Okay so these arent part of homework or anything its a review sheet for what kind of problems are gonna be on our test.its ummm absolute value equations… I have no clue how to do it!!! I’ve literally asked the teacher 20 times to show me how to but I still dont get it, I get confused… So if someone can please show me step by step how than that will be great… The review problems are :

Remember to isolate the absolute value. Each problem will have 2 solutions or “no solutions.”

1.|x | = 6

2.|3x + 2| = 14

3.- 5| X + 1| = -10

4.|x - 2| + 10 = 12

5.|x| = - 5

6.|2x + 6| - 4 = 20

7.6 - 3|2x + 6| = 0

8.10 - |x + 2| = 12

Absolute value is how far that number is from zero. So |5| = 5 just as |-5| = 5 as they are both five numbers away from zero. So for the first one |x| = 6 has two solutions as it is basically asking what numbers are 6 spaces from zero which is both 6 and -6. Problems like number 5 however, |x| = -5 has zero as you can’t have an absolute value be negative.
