what kind of proffession should I go into

I’m really interested in psychology and that manner such as the study of the human mind emotions and the ideas of why people feel / do the things they do but what I don’t know is how I can apply this to life and get a more or less decent paying job. any one have any ideas? if you have a idea could you tell me what I’d have to do in order to become that and how much they make in a year on average.

If psychology is your interest and passion than go for it. I’ve met a few psychologists. Many people say you need a PhD but my ex- brother-in-law was the head psycholgist for a school district with a MS.

I had a former girlfriend who was studying to be a psychiatric nurse. If you don’t want to have to spend a lot of time in grad school this is another option.

A psychologist is a fantastic, noble profession.

Obviously you need to go to University - see if there’s one in your area that offers psychology courses.

You’d be looking at an average starting salary of about $56, 000.

Depends on what you want to do and how long you want to be in school for…

regardless you need to get a bachelors in psychology (4 years)

then…

a masters in counselling (2 years) if you want to do counseling, or community work = 45/50,000 a year a phd in psychology (5 years), research, teaching, or therapy = 60-125 a year a psyd which is a doctor of psychology (5 years), therapy = 100-125 a year a phd in counseling (5 years) research, teaching, or therapy = 60 - 100 a year an medical degree specializing in psychiatry (4 years + 4 years residency + 1 year psychiatry) = 100-250,000 a year (maybe more)

Just a note, you cannot be a psychologist with a MS. You’d be a mental health counselor or whatever, but a psychologist is someone who has a PhD.
