What is the circumferance of the earth?
At the equater, which is the longest measurement of the circumference of the earth, the distance is 24,901 miles...however, of course, the circumference is different north or south of that point :)
Typically in school they teach you the Earth is 24K miles around, not sure why, as rounding up you get 25K miles...this also explains why we might eventually move to a 25 hour day :)
The Earth's circumference is 40,075.16 kilometers or about 24,901.55 miles.
