Well my bestfriend is Morman. I honestly don't know much about religion and I dont need a lecture bout how I should choose one..eventually I will. I dont want to bring religion up, or accidetally ask a stupid question, so.. What are Morman beliefs, rules, everything about that religion? if you could answer this, it would be really helpful!
First off I would say to go to the Mormon Churches website, www.lds.org or mormon.org. The Churches name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Long one I know:) I am a mormon and so if you ever want an answer to any question without any pressure let me know, but I bet your friend who is mormon would love to answer any questions you have too! In answer to your question here is the content of a document called the 'Articles of Faith' and they explain it all pretty well! 1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. 2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression. 3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. 4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. 5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof. 6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth. 7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth. 8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. 9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. 10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory. 11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may. 12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. 13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
I'm Mormon. The rules are to help protect our bodies and other people around us. Its not to like tell us what to do,we are allowed to do w/e we want but we are encourged to make right chooses. Basicly to follow the 10 commandments,to be modest and to be humble. Treat others like we want to be treated. Respect ourselves and other people,even if their mean or down talk us or somthing. We are asked to be true to God and to be honest and wise about what we do. Simple stuff. =D And even if we mess up we have the awesome choice to repent XD If you wanna know more add me and I can answer stuff you wanna know about. I don't feel like writting down everything right now haha. But yeah,it's a great religion I think =P
The Mormons are an offshoot of Christianity. Much of their doctrine comes from the Book of Mormon. They share some beliefs with Christianity, but much of what they believe and practice is very different. I think morman maybe im not sure if im not mistakin is a babtist christian but you just take the bible/ for instant the verses more seriously. im not sure thow. you can probably look it up on google and get a striaght answer.
Religion is man’s attempt to get himself to God. Redemption is God’s work to bring man to Him. Religion kills, redemption saves. Avoid religion, seek redemption.
Religion isn't like sports club - you don't have to pick any of them.
