what if I live at home but dont want parents to control me?

What if I want to live at home and have my parents pay for my stuff but dont want them to have control over what I do or I dont have to tell them where I am. is there a law for that and what would that includ for them to not control?

You live in their house you play by their rules. Even after you’re 18 if you live with them you will still have to live by their rules. There’s not a law anywhere that will let you do whatever you want…you are their child, they pay for you to have a place to live, they pay for your food, they pay for your “stuff”…why should you be able to do what you want?

No. You want them to give you everything? Right… If you want to do whatever you want to do then you could also buy your own stuff work for what you want and everything. You want to live with them then follow what they say. There is no law, but there is a law that stated that when you turn 18 you can do whatever you want.

No, im sorry there isn’t. Your asking a lot to have them buy everything for you and do stuff for you but not to listen to them. When your 18 and living on your own you can do what you please.

you are asking for 30/50 relationship it doesnt work like that, just be glad your parents don’t ship you off to a catholic boarding school they are your parents and they can do that! you need to earn there respect, nothing is free if you want something you work for it this will prove that you are resposible and that they should cut you some slack if you act your age they are going to treat you your age, so if you want to be treated like an adult ask them what you can do to earn there trust and respect.
