well wal mart haters, I think it’s a great place. it’s convenient and they actually pay well. my friend just got a job there as a cashier and she was started at making 8.50.

it basically has anything from clothes, to beauty products, to food, to electronics, etc.

The Wal-mart in my old town had a McDoanlds, a bank branch, a tax service,, an optiomitrist and optical mart, and hair styling. They try to make it a one-stop shopping place. I’ve only been to the one where I live now once so I don’t remember what other businesses are under its roof.

Most Wal-marts I’ve been to are dingy, dimly lit, and have narrow isles. The newer ones are much nicer though. Like someone up there said, Wal-marts sell crap. Target sells crap too but they also sell nicer stuff. I’ve actually bought nice real wood furniture from Target while everything at Wal-mart is particleboard. I remember years ago Wal-mart advertised that they sold a lot of items that were made in America but now almost everything seems to be made in China or 3rd world countries.

Like I said, when you support a business you are also supporting their business practices. Nothing I have heard about Wal-mart’s business practices have been good.

Answer #3

I consider Wal-Mart a scorge. They basically open up in a town, run local establishments out of business and lower wages in the area by paying less and forcing anyone who wants to compete to pay less as well. I read that some Wal-Marts even instruct their employees how to go on public assistance; they pay so little their employees still qualify for social programs so tax-payers basically subsidise Wal-Mart.

I avoid shopping at Wal-Mart. One item I buy at Tom Thumb that cost ~$3 there only cost $2 at Wal-mart so I can certainly see the appeal. The thing is that by giving them your business you are also supporting their business practices. Perhaps you will pay more elsewhere but you may feel better about your purchase.

Answer #4

Wal Mart is my lifee:) I pretty much get everything there, not only because of the prices, but also because it’s close to where I live. But yeah, they have like pretty much everything. BUT stated above, dildos and sex toys. l0l Probably a few more items. Can’t think right noww. :)

Answer #5

But I heard you can get your hair done and everything. What other businesses do they run from there?

Answer #6

if they have it at target, they have the same thing or more generic version of it at walmart. prices are great, but the service is terrible.

Answer #7

they don’t have good benefits for their employees, they don’t have integrity, they don’t have consideration for others…I could go on and on.

Answer #8

What doesn’t wal-mart have? QUALITY GOODS.

I completely agree with Filletofspam, and try to boycott them by paying more elsewhere. It’s painful.

Wal-mart will eventually take over the world and we will be living in wal-mart houses and drive wal-mart cars that have to be replaced every five years. They are an atrocious company and sell crap. They force big companies like General Electric and Sony to manufacture things for the lowest possible prices, otherwise they won’t carry them, and they treat their staff like casual labor.

If I bought Wal-Marts Walls, they would collapse. :)

Answer #21

I agree with filletofspam. They run every small business out of business. Monopoly. Yes their low wages and treatment of employees is dispicable. I don’t shop there unless I need to. I stopped shopping there for a long time.
