What: did I do the right thing to win my old friends back?

OK, well all my so called friends are mostly so snobby and mean to me. They leave me out. Well its mostly “new people” that came to our school, aand I treated them the best and they leave me. I ditched my old friends for them, because things were weird but its ok now, no ones mad (unless its behind my back, ill take my chances) Soo I told two of my old friends that I LOVED talking to and always hung out wit. I havent hung out wit them forever. And today, finally I asked them to come ovr on satruday both of them, they seemed so surprised I asked them over. But they were happy at the same time, which made me really happy. But then at gym, we were sitting and it was me, then one of the new person that I made friends wit then it was one of my old friends (and the new girl, everyone mostly liked) well the new girls boyfriend was talking to my old friend and she got mad, she moved and asked for me to come wit her, I said yes because I dont wanna be mean. Tory (my old friend) looked angry, so in the locker room I went up to her and said this “Did you hear what taylor c said?” and that was the new girls name. Tory said no and then I said “she said that she wasnt happy about you talkin to her boyfriend” and then she said I knew it! Then I told her I only moved so she wouldnt get mad, and she wasnt mad, atleast not at me. Then I suddenly felt bad for taylor but I had to so I wouldnt lose tory as a friend, especially since I was reaally trying to make her trust me again. Then tory said “Taylor really shouldnt get mad just because he is talking to someone” and she made a big point so I felt less bad, but am I doin the right thing? What do you think?? Sorry this is soo longg

If they really are your friends, having a conversation with them and explaining how much you value your friendship should be more than enough to smooth things over. Things happen all the time, it’s real friends that stick by you, not just when life is good and everybody is happy.
