How to deal with the stresses of life?

I know this is called life… The ups and downs and roller coaster rides of emotions. But how do you deal with it? Women especially have a difficult time dealing/coping with the stresses of life. Having a fiance, college studies, a job and bills is an overload. My life only consists of school, work, cleaning, studying, laundry and tears these days. Food, friends, love, passion, church, and sleep have simply left my life. As the days pass on by, I keep trying to remind myself of the good things in life, where have they gone? How do I get them back?? Please give me advice. Thanks a bunch..

I don’t call it depression. I call it hard times in life. Everyone comes to a point in their life where they are just trying and striving so hard to be something special, to be someone. To do something that I think will be successful, and then it hits them: Life is not perfect. After the realization that life is not perfect and noticing that life does not always go as planned People tend to hit rock bottom, reevaluate their life, then move on. The moving on part is what is hard. People just need to realize that they need to stop living for everyone else, and they need to start living for themselves. Who cares what kind of new car your neighbors just bought, yours is paid off, you don’t need a new and better one. Who cares what you do for a living?!? At least your bills are paid, you have food on the table, and you are happy. Who cares if you get straight A’s in school… As long as you are passing you are doing just fine… Who cares what type/brand of clothing you are wearing.. Does it cover you up and keep you warm?? That’s all that matters. People need to do what makes themselves happy, not what makes others happy. You know what I mean? I’m just at that dead end… Everything is going just perfect for me and I love every minute of my life.. But.. On the flip side.. I’ve just began to notice I’m living so fast and stressed out that… I’m allowing the things in life that really matter, to just slip by.. I just need to STOP.. take a deep breath.. and reevaluate… A Dr., therapist, pills, or what not are not always the answer… Only time will heal, prayers will help, and your own mind will be what ultimately changes it all!!

Although your life is stressful, there are ways of cutting down on the things that are causing you to feel this way.

One of them is writing down every bill that you have right now- just cut everything down to the minimum or close as you can handle! Do you reall need the media package on your phone or use all the minutes you pay for, if not cut down on your cell plan! Could you be okay with just having the minimum on your cable, if so you can call and lower it! Do you need both a home phone and a cell? get rid of the home! Think of all your bills this way and $10 or $20 here and there will add up and give you more money to save or use for yourself!

Another is to eat right and exercise. You will have more energy if you start a workout routine 20 min. , 3-4 times a week! Cut back on the junkfood and caffine intake, it will be hard on you at first with the caffine headaches and withdrawls, but in a week or so, you will feel much better, more clear-headed! Try drinking water, juices and healthy drinks instead of sodas!

You could also take vitamins, one day I saw some by Nature Valley called “Mood Plus Sam-E”. I was in the same situation as you with work and school, and I began taking them, and they made me feel wonderful! They are for mood support, joint health, and liver health. You can get them just about anywhere, or maybe you could research it and find something similar.

Definately get some sleep! You can’t do everthing you are trying to do without rest! Maybe you could even get in the habit of taking a nap sometime during the day for an hour or so and it would do so much good for you.

Just readjust your lifestyle and eventually you should become more motivated to go after the things you want and plan time for friends, church, and fun!

Good Luck!

You sound severly depressed. Maybe you should see either a therapist. A doctor. Or both. This sounds like a serious problem.
