What are the odds?

I went off birth control (yaz) during the summer months. I haven’t had my period since, so it’s been about 6 months now. No spotting. I know that part has to do with horomones evening out.. & I took a pregnancy test, I’m not prego. But I’ve been sexually active 2 times now since I’ve been off of it. What are the odds of becoming pregnant now? & Should my period just return if I start taking birth control again?

Your period can be delayed/absent for many reasons. One of which is pregnancy. Other things to consider are excess stress, change in diet, working out harder. Also, birth control affects many woman differently. Some women on the pill will stop taking it and have their periods just stop as their body tries to find it’s natural rythym. It could be 6 months to a year before your period returns to normal. Mine was the same for the pill and when I got off Depo-Prevera. Every woman is different, though, so you could always ask a doctor about what’s going on…
