What are the appropriate words to tell my teacher?

I’m 14 years old, And of course I have a favorite teacher. I idolize her so much, and I think that I want to be like her.

I want to be close with her, like a friend or something. She knows that she’s my favorite, because one of my friends told her. And I also gave her a letter saying that she’s a good example for me.

I want to talk to her about it, but I don’t know what to say to her, I’m afraid that she might understand it the other way.

What should I tell her? What should I do? What will I tell her?

I’m a shy person, I’m shy to say hi when she walks through my direction and instead I just smile towards her.

note: I just want to know how to tell this to her and don’t know how and/or what to tell her. I respect her so much and I’m afraid that this may bother her.

Teachers are in awkward positions when it comes to students, I understand that you would like to be closer to your teacher, but she cannot play favorites and must remain professional. If your teacher has had a profound affect on you, then make her proud by being a good student and earning good grades, be polite and respectful at all times. As the school year will soon be ending, write a nice note expressing how much she has influenced you for the positive and how much you think of her as a teacher. Then, if you can afford it, place a gift certificate for a movie or nice restaurant in it. She will know and appreciate it.
