What animal should I get?

A few months ago I wanted to get a snake as a pet but its really expensive here, so I am thinking of getting a rabbit or a gerbil. Actually I would prefer a cat but I’m allergic to cats so never mind.

But which is better, you think? I live in an apartment and I’m at school for about 8 hours, 5 days a week, would that be a problem? because I don’t come home during lunch. and I would also just like to get a male one. but my mother keeps telling me how animals are like humans and have the urge to do ‘it’ with a partner and how they can get very lonely and all that and it makes me feel guilty, but I’m lonely as well and I want a pet to talk to sometimes and to talk care of. I really don’t know what to do, help?

Answer #1

Get a guinea pig or a rabbit. I’ve had guinea pigs for almost more than four years now and they’re very sweet animals. They are a lot of responsibility though so hopefully you’ll be able to handle it. Just getting one would be fine. Don’t worry about them getting lonely. As long as you take care of them and give them lots of love and attention then they’ll be fine. But I suggest getting either a guinea pig or a rabbit. Hope this helps!

Answer #2

a hamster would work for those hours. they dont get lonely and they wake up 7 oclock, 8 oclock. if you do get a hamster, things from ferplast are good. (cages, toys, etc)

Answer #3
