I hope that all you want to do is to change your religion to relationship with the Lord by knowing He loves you so much that He gave His only Begotten Son to be a sin offering for everyone of us on this planet and all the sin that was EVER committed and all that will be committed until He returns again in glory for His Church. Church is not a building, but the body of Christ, all those who call upon His name and are saved.

Rejoicing to hear you have a hunger and thirst for righteousness! We are on this earth for just a short time and eagerly await His return to spend eternity with our God –The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who are One–The Trinity.

That is Christianity. And God will give you a new name in Christ and everything will become new when you are born again. That name is Christian.

God Bless you as you find truth!

There is an India subdomain for funadvice that might be able to give you better answers. Are you required to be religious in India? If so, go talk to a priest or minister of the church your interested in to find out how to convert.

As far as changing your name goes, you’ll need to find out what your local laws are for doing that. In the US, you just file a form with the appropriate county clerk.

Like leevan said, you don’t have to be a Christian to change your name. If you really want to change your name, you can contact the registry department in India for the procedures to do so. If it is like in some places I know, you will have to go through a Justice of Peace in the process, or a lawyer.

If you also still want to change your faith to Christianity, you can approach your local church and they will guide you in what is necessary.

Im not directly answering your question I know…but being a Christian doesnt mean you have to change your surname. Im Christian and I have a Chinese surname. Be proud of your heritage cmon
