Walking 5 miles five times a week does that have good weight loss you think?
Certainly walking 5 miles is good for you and will help you loose weight. For many years I took a 1 hour walk every evening.
I've found that building muscle helps a lot for weight loss. If you do some strength training I think you will find that you will look and feel healthier and you will burn fat faster.
You don't need to have anything elaborate for strength training. A nice set of dumbbells or some resistance bands are a good start and of course for a lot of calisthenics you don't need any equipment at all.
If you have time for a 5 mile walk every day or if you really enjoy it by all means keep doing it but if you are time limited I think you will get better results from using that time for strength training.
I've recently started a new job for a distribution company, I walk just over 30 miles every shift 5 days a week loading products between 25kg and 80 kg onto lorries, I've lost 11 lbs in the first week, walking definately helps to lose weight especially if you walk fast
it's better than NOT walking 5 miles a day, that's for sure. try kicking it up a notch by jogging for short distances throughout your 5 mile trek. that'll get your heart up, and increase your weightloss-ness.
Yes, it can help but also have to keep your nutrition on point to lose weight.
o yes im on the jenny craig diet and walking so I should see great results :)
That and watching what you eat (quality/amounts), you'll do fine !!
yeah but eat healthy too!
