Why am I waking up panicked and shaking and feeling like a terror/adrenaline rush?

Its consistant, and as far as I know I am not waking up from a dream… and it happens no matter how I wake up: alarm clock, my mom, or if I wake up by myself.

Its been happening for almost a month now (with the exception of only a few times). What could be causing this and how can I get it to stop?

. It’s just everyday paranoia. Everybody suffers from that once they transcend the deluded utopia of childhood. .

Answer #2

but that answer makes me sad :( i either want the delusion of utopia or the respect of being old enough to handle daily paranoia lol

Come up with a short sentence or two that captures the feeling and attitude you would like to wake up with. Say it to yourself every morning the very first thing when you notice you are awake. You can repeat it at other times too if you like. Try it for at least a couple weeks, consistently.

Also, do a similar thing every night when you are in bed, lights out, before you fall asleep. Repeat to yourself a different short statement, this one expressing how you would like your sleep and your waking up to be. Hold the thought in mind, or repeat it over and over, as long as you can until you are asleep.

You could put these in the form of prayers - or not, as you prefer.
