Why do I feel like this before I wake up and how can I stop it (read more)?

Sometimes this happens, pretty rarely, that I’ll fall asleep for like 15 minutes & I’ll sort of wake up but I can’t move, can’t speak, sometimes hear voices, I can see just a little, don’t have control over myself & I feel like someones patting around my body above my blanket. Like I’m laying there freaking out in my head & all I can do is blink & it takes several minutes for me to gain control of myself & once I do I’m like terrified to go back to sleep. Just happened right now & im freaked out it hasn’t happened in awhile.

Sorry to do this to you, but here’s a wikipedia link. It’s sleep paralysis. I’m not sure myself how to sum it up, so have some info. http://funadvice.com/r/3js9ijetvb

I would have a true answer to this question, but wouldnt want you to think i’m getting all religious on you. So, i’d say just relax, meditate, read a book and ease your mind before you fall asleep. If your scared or cant sleep from nightmares i suggest sleeping with someone a couple of nights. This could go on for days or time to time, i dont know, but i think you should not sleep alone until you feel comfortable again.

Just try to relax before you go to sleep if it keeps happening then while you cant move or anything just be calm and try to think happy. it will get easier
