How can I make my voice louder without shouting?

I am a soft spoken person and people often have trouble hearing what I say. I have to give a speech tomorrow and I think the professor would want me to project my voice.

Answer #1

Sing from your stomach and not your throat. Keep your mouth open as if there was an egg in it and flex your abdominals whlie pushing out your voice while singing. Something i learned off some tv show.

Answer #2

Ha i thought you said sing. nm then.

Answer #3

Breathe deeply. Stand firm, with your legs as far apart as your shoulders width. Relax, and repeatedly tell yourself that one person in the last row is extremely interested in your topic.

Also, try to speak very clearly, slow down if you tend to rush and do not mumble-connect words. Make a tiny break between every word and the next. You can practice that by recording yourself. It doesn’t make you much louder, but people understand a very articulate speaker way, way better than a mumbler, even if the volume is the same.
