How much does the bible and your religion matter to you?

Do you like your religion/beleifs?

Answer #1

My spirituality means a great deal to me. I do believe there is a power who created this universe and all in it. I do not take the Bible literally, it was written by men who may have been trying to articulate something they saw or were told that was unexplainable by their perceptions. And it has been interpreted too many times over the centuries, by men who may have been guided by politics or beliefs at the time. But I do believe much of the story and meaning of the Bible. “God created the heavens and earth and all in them in six days…” How long is a day to a God. We intreprete it as what we know one revolution of the earth. Is a day one revolution of the Milkyway galaxy, or a time frame we can’t comprehend that is a million years?

If you look at everything in the world and where our world is located in the solar system at this point in time to allow life to exist on this planet, the amazing human body and that of life of everything about you, it is tough not to believe it was created and just so happened to build out of a pile of muck millions of years ago.

So my belief in a supreme being is strong. This is probably the most I’ve represented my beliefs in some time, but it is still a powerful force in my life.

Here’s an article about the Big Bang theory.

Before you dismiss it, you should at least take the time to understand it, since you obviously do not.

God became a very real part of my life, in June of 1985. Since then, I have continually sought him, to learn more of his ways, and his spirit and his word. I would not trade my relationship with him… for anything.

It means the world to me.

I respect each religion, and each diff. denomination, however, I choose to follow God only. I go where he sends me, and leave, when he says to leave. I am not controlled by man or by organization. I am free in God… to be who he created me to be.

I love his people, the ones that are truly of his spirit, and I love to be around them, as he brings them into my life. I desire to be led by his spirit, to be taught by and sustained by him.

He touched my life, in a way that nothing else, nor noone else.. ever could. I have never been the same since.

Whom the Son has set free… is Free…indeed.

Blessings… on your journey!!!
