Unsure/Contispation or digestive system problems

My sitzu started acting strange a week ago and has not had a decent bm in a week. Took to vet and they gave her steriods and antibotics No change. Took ker agian he gave her metronidazole just yesterday. It just looks like she is worst, losing her hair. Can you give some advice.HELP

Hmmm…Metronidzzole (Flagyl) is an antibiotic, and I’ve used it when dogs have diarreah, since it calms the gut plus gets rid of the “bad bugs”…Did the Vet say anything at all about a possible impaction, or blockage??

The losing of hair doesn’t make sense, either…unless it’s shedding simply because she doesn’t feel good…(I mean…are there bald patches, as if she’s licking or biting the hair?)…

Frankly, if this Vet hasn’t mentioned a “blockage”…(after all she’s constipated, and usually bad bugs in the gut cause diarreah)…I think I’d go for a second opinion…A Shi Tsu is a small dog, and just a piece of cloth could block her up…I think she needs xrays…a blockage can be deadly.
