Will a pap smear find a yeast infection or STD?

K, well I know it was stupid. Of course. But, I had unprotected sex with this guy, and this morning I felt kinda itchy, and have a really odd and bad smelling discharge. I’m kinda worried. Any thoughts of what it could possible be? Yeast infection maybe? Some STD :( ? Would a pap test detect anything if I went and got one at my doctors?

Dear hailz16, If you are due for your pap then go and inform your doctor about you situation. He will do several tests for you including STD and yeast. If you aren’t due make an appointment to go and get tested for STDs. Never have unprotected sex…never! Sue…good luck

NO it will not. There is an over the counter test that will tell you if it is a yeast infection or another infection that you should see the Dr. over. This will not detect an STD to my knoweledge and I’m sure not all of them. If you can’t find it with monthly products ask the pharmacist. I promise they won’t blink an eye. More than likely it’s just a yeast infection but better to be safe than sorry. Pleaseee practice safe sex. Pregnancy is the least of the worries, the alternative can cost you your life. FYI: the only stupid question is one that doesnt get asked KEEP asking.
