Shi tzu undershot bite?

Bought my 8 week shitzu pup 3 days ago for £300.took her to the vets for her 1st jab and he told us she was undershot.should I take her back?

What is undershot?

And, dogs are animals with thoughts and feelings. You shouldn’t just “return” them like a pair of jeans.

Here is what it says in the AKC Breed standards for a Shih Tsu dog…”Bite - Undershot. Jaw is broad and wide. A missing tooth or slightly misaligned teeth should not be too severely penalized. “

So your dog is exactly as it should be…they are bred to have an undershot jaw, just like Peke’s, or Bulldogs…Your Vet needs to brush up on the standards for each breed.

if you are saying that the doctor told you to bring her back because she is not done with all of her booster vaccines then yes your doctor is right and you do need to go back to the vet again. They get a total of 4 sets of vaccines atleast 3 weeks apart, then they are fully protected and will go on a one year schedule.
