Is it true that you bleed for a whole 6 weeks after you give birth?

does that happen to every girl?

Answer #1

It’s an average of 6 weeks, it’s different for every woman, it depends on your body

Answer #2

Yes, for quite a while. I had heavy bleedings for two weeks and mild bleedings for another two weeks. After that I kept having discharge for at least 3 months.

My sis in law gave birth and had a curettage afterwards, because they weren’t sure whether the placenta had come out completely. She bled for one day only.

Answer #7

and you have to push out the sack the baby was in after u push out the baby, which by what my mom says hurts a bit more than pushing the baby, but that was 18 years ago and medicine may be better… some women bleed more and some less. a family friend said she did for about a week and a half, where my cousin did for 9 weeks
