This girl told me that once your 16 they stop and they dont take you away from your perents and stuff like that, is it true?
It varies in countries. In the US, Social Services will not bother you if you are 18 years old or older. They may offer help, but if you can maintain a normal physical and mental life they will not offer help. If you are under the care by Social Services you are legible to leave without any problems, they might give you a notice and make you sign stuff but thats it. If you're below the age of 18 and your parents are not able to maintain a healthy lifestyle, the parents might be mandated to give custody to the Social Services. You might be able to make an appeal though and try to fight it out.
You can get emancipated when your 16, which means that you can legally leave your home and live on your own, but otherwise you're still considered a child and property of your parents until you are 18.
Not true. Actually even with truancy they can get involved if the parents request it. Until a person is 18, or emancipated, social services can get involved.
I'm not sure, however...I do know that social services can't get involved with truancy issues after 16.
