What are your thoughts on people getting a tattoo of a person's name as a memorial?

I don’t know if I’ll ever get a tattoo, I have to move out of my parents house first but, what do you think about people tattooing a persona name on them as a momorial?

Answer #1

Oh god. I think thats the most stupid thing ive ever heard of. I mean i know they might “ love them” but seriously 8 times out of 10 they will split up. Its just very stupid. I think getting someones name on you that has passed away like your mom or dad or someone is very ok. I got my last name as a sign of memory for my father who passed away, becasuse it was his last name too. But getting your girlfriend boyfriend or wife or husbands name is very stupid.

Answer #6

ooooh. yes i think you should do it

Answer #7

I honestly see nothing wrong with it; I’ve considered considered it before. I think it’s a beautiful way to remember someone by and express love and grief.

Answer #8

I think its a great idea! I have a memorial tattoo, but its not a name. I have the same tattoo that my father had in the same spot.

Answer #9

its a good idea if YOU want it.people have there own personal preferances with tattooes, ipersonally ike some and hate others.i dont see anything wrong with a memorial tattoo but its not soemthing you should get because people tell you to get it or not to get it, only get it if you actually want it and ca live with it being there, other peoples opinions shouldnt matter

Answer #10

i think its a great way to show how much you love ur grandma. it just goes to show you really cared about her to get a memorial tatto, there nothing really wrong with it so i think you should do it

Answer #11

I don’t see nothing wrong with it , I mean people could get whatever they want done, ! But I don’t believe in tattoos period so , I wont be getting any so at the end of the day its not my problem. lol just kidding I sound like a b!tch there.. but yea.. nothing wrong, everyone marks what they want on their body its only their decision …

Answer #12

No issue but be sure to not include a present day boyfriend or gilfriend especially if you are under 18. It is quite possible that this person will not be the one you marry.

When I was 19, I got a tattoo of a girl on my arm who I was sure I was going to marry. She had a long name as well which had to be wrapped a bit around my arm. Had to laser it off over several sessions and it was painful and not cheap.

Answer #13

My mom has a tatoo of her parents names that just died. And theyre date of birth. I think its good.

Answer #14

I don’t think there is something wrong with it. The tattoo has a good cause, there is a reason for it other than being “cool” I personaly have one of my brother, and I did it to always hve him with me.

Answer #15

Definitely, its a beautiful idea and shows that you love and care about her no-matter what, as soon as I’m old enough I want one for my nan. <3
