Roasted turkey does take alot of basting to insure it stays moist Fried turkey is basically unheard of here in Canada. I'd never even considered frying a turkey!
One of the things I like best with sites like this one is all the different people from different countries. Everyone is so unique, its fantasic!
When you fry the turkey it tends to hold the juices in more and they turkey is less dry. Its my favorite way. I didnt even realize how southern all of that sounds, lol, thats what happens when your raised this far south.
Sweet potato casseroll, pecan pie, mississippi mud pie, sausage biscuit and cheese balls, cornbread stuffing, pecan pralines, and fried turkeys!
I was just going to say "it sounds very Southern!". I've never had a fried turkey, does it taste much different than a roasted turkey? I
My favorites are the turkey itself, the dark meat; especially the thigh meat, and my mom's homemade noodles...drool
Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner would not be right without mashed potatoes! I love them too!
I love ham. Sadly, we can't have it cause my husband is deathly allergic. : (
mine i guesss is like the ham , corn , and mashed potatoes..dessert :D ?
I'm a big fan of the turkey too! But I prefer I the white meat. : )
