To get a 'creative' tattoo, you need to think about what's important to YOU. There is no point in getting something that your friends will think is cool. You need to research and think about what you love. Also try and think of a different place to get your tattoo done. Shoulder-blades and lower backs are so common now that even if you have an original design, it will seem repetitive if it is in a boring place. When you do settle on a design, I recommend waiting 6 months before getting it done. I have wanted many tattoos over the years but I'm glad I waited and didn't get them done as I don't like them so much anymore.
