Strengthening for cheer?

What are some stretches and excercises I can do to become stronger for stunting in cheerleading. As of now, I cant even hold a girl up, so I need some exercises to help the muscles to do that

well if your lifting them over your head its your shoulders, so military press works on that , but chances are if you cant lift somone up over your head then the bar alone will be too hard for you, but theres other variations just go look up shoulder excercises

well I am I cheerleader:) and what I do is at least 20 push ups a day. and mayb try sum sit ups crunches and try to build up your upper body strengh…

im a flyer but the people who hold me up lift weights so the can build their upper body strength more and it does work

Bench pressing weights if your a base it works for me and a lot of crunches and pushups, plus try going jogging like 5 times a week!

well bases use a lot of leg muscle so try some lunges and squats, also chair sits against the wall help a a lot. the arms muscles will come in soon as long as your stunting:)

Well im a flyer in cheerleading. And what all of us have to do is plenty of v-ups push ofs planks running lifting weights Crunches Etc.also you need to run because bases have to use their leg muscle to push up the flyer above their heads for extensions reloads awesomes etc. Hope I helped :)

I’m a base too. I have a gym membership and basically what I do is run 2 miles a day, lift weights, and do all the machines. go to your local gym and you’ll get in shape if your commited
