How to stop cutting myself?

okay , I’ve been cutting myself since I was 14 and I’ve always been fighting it . last time I cut was 4 months ago . and now (within last week ) I just have this big need to cut AGAIN . .. I am trying to do random stuff so I can forget about it . but I cant .. what to do =( ?

Whyy would you want to cut yourself? If your depressed or something go see a therapist, why would you want to leave ugly scars on your skin? Please don’t cut yourself find another way to deal with your problems like talking to someone. =)

Firstly, I just wanna say that it’s great you’ve managed to go 4 months without cutting! :3 you should be proud of that. My therapist told me that people self harm because it releases endorphins.. And he told me that exercise gives you the same effect. So if you start running or cycling or whatever exercise you enjoy, it will make you feel happier and take your mind off self harming. And when I started running, it honestly helped so much. Of course there are still times that I cut myself, but it’s only because that’s what I’m used to.. It comforts me I guess. But once you get into a different routine, the exercise will soon replace the self harm. Its been a huge part of you for a really long time, so it’s not gonna be easy to just stop. Do things you like whenever you think of cutting. When you feel the need to cut just go outside and run until you’re tired and until you forgot about cutting yourself..or go out with friends. Talk to someone. If you want you can talk to me because I’m the same like you. I don’t know your story but I know just how you feel. This past year I was so depressed..I wanted to end everything.But thanks to my friends I’m still here. Right now I’m depressed, broken, dead inside. But I’m not going to cut. You know why? Because that just makes everything worse. Instead I’ll smile and tomorrow I’ll go out with my friends(because right now it’s too late to go out..around 3a.m.) and I’ll forget about this problem. Please watch this video. It helped me. This girl is the same like us. She’s been there. She helped me realize how important my life is. How cutting doesn’t help.

Try finding a hobby, something that will take your mind off cutting. When you feel like cutting do something instead so you’re not harming yourself anymore. I know how you feel, I do the exact same thing you do. You just need something else to occupy your time. I hope I helped.

I agree, The scars will later show you that you were strong enough to make it through a hard time In your life. Speaking from expirence, Find a person you’re close to and trust, Tell them about it. It will help more than you know, Cutting isn’t something easy to stop, Be proud that you’ve gone four whole months without cutting, If you went that long you make It longer I KNOW that you can. Cutting is an attempt to regulate your emotional feelings, usually due to unresolved trauma from your past. If you cannot control these impulses by yourself (and most can’t), please look into getting some professional help, for without it you are not going to have a life as happy as you deserve. Friends and relatives are great to talk to, and they can give you some support, but they do not have the training to get you the help you need. Take care, and Good Luck!!

oh! I guess I watched many like this ( My Card story) but didnt watch this yet , I will watch it , and hope it will help me , and about going out . I had this one friend who moved to another place so I cant see her , and other friends are just like I cant blind in with them so I just stuck at home .. it has been 2 months since I left the house =( . I just feel like everything is against me , my mom , my 2 lil sisters(younger than me 2-3 years) .. and the one I loved dumped me for not being so much into partying and dru-gs =( . .. it feels that there is only me , and me is devastated =(
