My friend and I want to join Stand Up 2 Cancer to earn money for cancer research because we have had family members die from cancer, and for David Cook's brother, Adam, and we don't want to lose anyone else. Are we allowed to make donations in any ways we want? Like organizing walks and going to the beach or boardwalk to collect donations, stuff like that, but we aren't sure if we are allowed and the site isn't really helping, so does anyone know if we're allowed to make donation any way we want?
If the non profit you're talking to isn't replying, then find another one. There are many reputable companies involved in cancer research, etc, and if the one you found isn't replying, they could be a scam or worse.
I too have lost several family members to cancer, and one in the last year, it sucks and I hope that progress is made towards finding a cure.
You could put stuff you don't want on ebay and they have a thing that sends any percentage of the sale you want to a non-profit organization.
yea you are.I've done that before.u can sell things and take up donations then give them 2 cancer sociaties in your area.
go through an actual organization because otherwise you could run into troubles with the IRS and the like
