I made the mistake of doing a regular link once. When I see everyone else's links, it says funadvice on it. I don't understand. I probably sound stupid but I'm clueless and curious. I don't even know if I'm making sense.
Are you talking about the link as shown in this post?: http://www.funadvice.com/updates/view/1337014461_0342882 ... or the link linking to that post? There are 3 types of links on FunAdvice: Tiny links, like the one shown in the post above, FunAdvice links, which link to other parts of FunAdvice, and email links, which we tend to discourage for security reasons.
Cecicat, you just type or paste in the real URL for the web page you want to link to, and FunAdvice will automatically convert it and display it as though it were a funadvice.com/~ page. When anyone clicks on that FA "alias" link, their browser will be redirected to the actual URL.
I mean using links for places on the internet that you want the person asking the question to go to. I want to make sure I am doing this right.
Thanks! I wasn't sure about it and I didn't want to get in trouble!
