Is this a special case of turrets or is he faking?

So there is this kid in my school who says he has turrets but he only seems to have outbreaks when it is quiet in class. For example I have had conversations with this kid but he never has an outburst. So any ideas?

probably faking it cause i had aperson who did the same thing but then his parents said he was lying

Yeah it sounds like he’s faking. Does he have any brothers or sisters you could ask? But he might have only mild tourettes and be able to control it most of the time.. I don’t know. I’m not a professional and I don’t know him but maybe you could ask someone related to him or one of his close friends, they might know if it’s true or false. I hope you find out :)
