Why do people pretend to have turret syndrom?

I know someone who actually has tourette syndrome and theres nothing funny about it. I dont understand why people would fake that, there just immature idiots.

Maybe that’s what they want. It’s a very complex issue and I’m sure people could write essays about why people fake it and still not fully understand but that’s ‘cause it’s different for each case. The person might just feel that they need to have something as obvious as this to be able to stand out and have attention. Also, a person with tourettes gets special help and love, and maybe this person isn’t getting the kind of care and love at home that they need so they break out to find another source. I can’t give you a conclusive answer but my best guess is that someone who fakes a mental illness are mentally ill in another way to think that it’s okay and to manipulate people in that way, and that they just want love, care and attention. Either they are looking for attention, they are making fun of people who actually have it, or they are just kidding around (which isn’t really funny).

i dont think its funny, i find it annoying after a while, at first i found it funny but not anymore

Because they’re immature, ignorant and dumb. It’s definitely nothing to laugh at or joke about. They should feel fortunate that they don’t actually have it.
